Fees & Payment
Initial Consultation: Initial phone consultation is free. We can discuss the specific questions you may have regarding psychotherapy services, your treatment options, and booking an appointment.
Fees: Please call me directly for information regarding fees. Fees are based upon 1 hour sessions.
Insurance Coverage: Some insurance providers cover psychotherapy services. Please check with your provider.
Payment Method: Cash, or Credit Card, including Visa and Master Card, are accepted.
Please provide 24-hour notice for cancelling appointments. There will be no charge.
Half the fee amount will be charged for providing less than 24 hour notice and/or not showing up for the appointment without prior indication. Exceptions include emergency situations.
Everything discussed during our sessions together will be held in the strictest confidentiality and respect. You have the absolute right to the confidentiality of your counselling. I cannot and will not tell anyone else what you have told me or that you are in counselling with me without your prior written permission.
There are however a few limits to confidentiality that I am legally obliged to follow in the following situations. Should any of these situations arise I am required by law to report. I will inform you anytime I think I will have to put these into effect. Limits to confidentiality include:
- You are in imminent danger of harming yourself.
- You will harm another person.
- A child under the age of 16 is being abused, neglected or is a witness of abuse.
- A previous registered health care professional has sexually abused the client in some way.
- If your record is subpoenaed by the court.
Files: When you make contact with counselling and psychotherapy services, a file will be started for you. All files are kept in a locked filing cabinet in the psychotherapy office, which is also locked.
Your Rights: You have the right to ask any questions or discuss any concerns should they arise during our sessions. I am open to discussing treatment choices and other treatment options. If at anytime you would like to leave psychotherapy you are welcome to do so without any obligations.
